The bulker, in the fleet of Greek shipping company Dalnave with Avena Shipping of Athens as its registered owner, was enroute from Årdalstangen to Murmansk on 12 January 2007 when an accident in the galley forced the captain to take the vessel in towards land at Fedje in order to seek medical help.

The weather in the area was stormy and the captain was unable to keep MV "Server" on a westerly course out from Fedje. The ships speed fell, at times it´s propeller was out the water and the captain lost control ultimately ending with the grounding. MV "Server" subsequently broke in two and oil escaped the vessel causing massive pollution damage in the are. It is rare that we are able to dive such a "fresh" wreck, and it is impressively intact providing numerous swim-throughs and easy access for penetration.

Report p.d June 2011: The wreck is gradually getting in worser condition due to the open sea from the south/west. A big tank mounted in the roof in the engine department has now falled down, making the room a litle smaller than before. Debree from the seeling, cables and more makes it nessesary to use guiding-line inside the wreck. The wreck is still a very nice dive :)
